This FLW masterpiece, completed in 1950, was one of the many commissions done during his "Usonian Period" (1936 - 1959)...One of the most prominent factors of most (although not all) of the Usonian structures were not their unique styles, but the fact that they could be completely erected by using standard materials from a builder's supply yard...either by the owner himself/herself, or by a contractor of the owner's choice...With the Usonian...the Wright Design was no longer just something strictly for the wealthy...See Also: Williams House - Wright Stuff III

I have not heard of FLW before, but I am glad, that you show us all that buildings now, so I learn something very interesting. I like that building a lot and could imagine, living in it. Great shot and framing again.

I was going to comment that it must have been one of the first pre-fab homes to be built, but I think I'm not thinking straight on that one. Another lovely and unique design from this building master...nice...
