...He didn't invent Rock, but he sure kept it Rollin'...

In memory of "America's Oldest Teenager", Dick Clark, whom was a part of many a young person's living room entertainment center (including mine) on a Saturday afternoon, and launched/boosted numerous music careers...

RIP, old friend...You'll be missed...

(To Bob) There's always a small handful of extremely close-minded younger peeps who think we oldbies should stick to our Geritol, walkers and dried-up lives...

I find that those particular opinionated individuals often don't have much of a life of their own to begin with...They should get one :P

A great tribute to a Rock-n-Roll Icon . Dick Clark is responsible for marketing Rock by bringing it into our homes for 30 years. In the " early Days " before MTV it was American Bandstand . I was listening to the radio yesterday ( Chicago) people were calling in from of all ages talking about the impact American Bandstand had on their lives as a teenager. Caller number one shared his memory of seeing Buddy Holly on American Bandstand in the 50's and stated he and his wife continued to watch American Bandstand for 30 years . I can remember as a little girl watching American Bandstand and dancing right along with them . Dick Clark is a Rock-n-Roll icon and yes he will be missed . Rest In Peace Mr. Clark
