Rising up from the small rocky cliff/penninsula of Haunted Point (for which the village derives its name), stands the Great Lighthouse...Built over one hundred some-odd years ago, the towering structure used to guide the incoming ships en route to Artopolis via the Phantoma Mouth and Harbor on many a thick, foggy night...Both the powerful light and extremely loud foghorn array could be seen and heard for miles...Being the tallest and most majestically-designed lighthouse on the whole of the Anystate coastline, Haunted Point Light was the "Grand Old Lady" of whomever keeper was assigned to tend her...

But things change, and so does navigation science, and the Great Lighthouse's services were surpassed by radar, and later, GPS technology...She was eventually replaced by "The Spar", an even taller, thinner, and very unattractive unmanned and automated beacon tower at the tip of the neighboring community of Stench (see city map)...Saddened by the thought of obsolescence, the last keeper of Haunted Point Light jumped to her death from a nearby cliff, into the rocks below, and the "Grand Old Lady" fell into disrepair, and was forgotten...

Not completely forgotten, however...The supernatural forces (especially those anywhere in Mess County) never lose their grip on things, and so according to legend (and heresay of a good number of the nearby residents), the old structure comes to life on certain densely foggy nights, and although the lighthouse and attached keeper's quarters are closed up and completely devoid of power, both the bold light and foghorn can be seen and heard once again...

Glad the supernatural forces came to the rescue of the "Grand Old Lady," Yogi.
Wonderful work, but the water looks a tad toxic.
