The Dark Skull Turnpike is an East-West tollway (ALL major limited access highways that go anywhere are tolled in Hauntedstate - worse than IL, NJ, NY, and PA combined! :P) that spans the entire length of the northern portion of Hauntedstate...It is even longer and creepier than the one you're traveling on, and its toll booth employees often look like something out of a horror flick...In addition to many other communities, the pike mainly services the metro area of Boyle on the extreme West end (Dark Skull County), largest city in Hauntedstate which is located on the shore of Great Skull Lake, from where the Dark Skull River originates, which the turnpike derives its name and runs parallel to... You can always see the river from the tollway on one side or the other, as the roadway crosses over the waterway several times...To the East, where the Dark Skull River empties into the even larger Wachazommbi, lies the nationally acclaimed resort city of Scalding Springs (Singe County), known for its numerous hot springs and theraputic spas, casinos, nightclubs, brothels, and sleazy "honeymoon lodges"...Many a big businessman and politician indulge in their baser insticts there...The famous saying is, "It burns only in Scalding Springs - Amen"
