A week from today, we will be remembering a sad time in history that took place 50 years ago (I was only a toddler then, just a few months shy of my second birthday)...Not only the date, but to the very day (Friday, November 22, 1963/2013)...After all these years, the assassination of JFK still is enshrouded in mystery...With all the different conspiracy theories (as well as all the science/physics hype that always seems to debunk the Warren Commission's findings) that have surfaced over time, maybe we'll never know the how and why of what exactly transpired back then...
...It is also rumored, that horror writer/creator/master Wes Craven named his famous "A Nightmare on Elm Street" Freddy K. storyline as a pun on the JFK assassination...Back in the early 80's, Mr. Craven had the draft for the first movie finished, and still didn't have a suitable title for it...Supposedly during that time, he had just finished reading the Warren Commission Report, and hit upon the happy thought of naming his story with the Elm Street title...When asked as to why, he stated that the Commission's findings were "the biggest works of fiction he ever read, that he didn't write"... Sounds like something Craven would do...
