A few years back, businesses stated there was a shortage of US workers with STEM (i.e. Science Technology Engineering Mathematics) degrees to fill related positions (a.k.a. specialty occupations)...

Last year, that claim was reported to be false...There are, and always have been more than enough! Instead, H1B visa workers have been filling these positions in droves because companies can get away with paying as low as even 1/3 the salary a domestic STEM employee would receive for the same job... Right now, 70% of US STEM majors fail to land jobs in their respective fields of expertise, some even quite a few years after their graduation date...

Once again, companies are selling good qualified people with a willingness to work short in favor of a few pocketed dollars more...Disgusting!

My sentiments exactly, Yogi.
