"I like the simple life..."

...Meet Ukraine-born Karinnya (a.k.a. "Bookworm"), head librarian and administrator of the Witches Valley Library...Once the assistant to LAdy BlAckheAth when they both worked at the main branch of the Artopolis Library... Karinnya was let go when "His DISHonner's" (Mayor Grafft) cuts caught up with the library funding, and was one of the reasons LAdy BlAckheAth herself eventually resigned...

Like LAdy BlAckheAth, Bookworm is a bubbly personality, and gets along well with everyone, so when a position became vacant @ the Witches Valley library, LAdy BlAckheAth put in a good word for Karinnya (a librarian knows another - almost like a sisterhood), and the rest is history...

Bookworm lives in a small apartment upstairs from the small town library, and spends most of her leisure time reading (of course) and watching classic movies...She also attends yoga and meditation classes at the Nirvana Green Studio just a block down, and across the street...She doesn't drive, and rarely ventures anywhere outside of downtown Witches Valley - except when she takes the train to museums and cultural activities up in Artopolis, and even then, that's only once in a while...She's not into partying or heavy socializing...Never was...She likes things simple...

I like it too -- the shadow she throws against the wall makes her seem real. And I really want to know what she reads! There aren't many books of that lovely red shade, but perhaps all books in her library have jewel colours and don't have that tired plastic-jacket look about them.

I spotted that exact book in town yesterday -- the same plain red hard-cover with no markings, jacket or text. An ex-library book. It was 'In the Midnight Hour' by Michelle Spring... an 'atmospheric thriller'.
