Another shot from the Toledo Zoo, in Ohio. It was such a hot day when I took my daughter a few weeks ago, that all the lions and tigers and bears (oh my) were not out, and I got no shots of them. I hope to try again some other time. I will just enjoy everyone else's pictures of them. By the way, this is a picture of a Vulture.

Have to laugh at CL's comment. He is probably standing on a rabbit. Do they feed them fresh meat or do they roam the highways for food? lol. Nice post JimboB.

They are ugly but are certainly very impressive birds. You just don't want to see them circling overhead when you've got lost out on a walk! You managed to cram great detail into this picture Jim.

Nice 'Un Jim.
It looks like it was taken in the Wild.
Thanks for sharing that Old Buzzard.
I know, Vultures don't like being called Buzzards.
But I do it anyway,.... then RUN. LOL.

Victor the Vulture? lol This was a good alternative for the cat shots, Jimbob. He's kinda cute with that brown circle about the eye.

Great shot of a Vulture Jimbob
They play such an important role in the the wild, but it's a sad life for them in a zoo.

I personally think Owd Bob deserves to have one as a next door neighbour. ;o)

Nice clear shot JimBob, they're creepy looking things these. Jan has a real passion for them! I like the way you got the colour of his eye in this shot.
