I posted a picture almost the same as this last year, but this one was taken with my Canon EOS 40D. I believe this is better quality than the first picture. Click here to see the first one.
The EOS 40D won the first prize in that price range in an exhibition in Berlin recently. But a better camera does not always mean a better picture, Jim. In this case you are right although the other photo is almost as good as this one.
Well, Jim, I certainly like the composition of this one more. I think this camera does a better job of grabbing the highlights between the light and the shadows, as well as bringing out the colors more vividly. Can you tell I like this one far more?
This is a FAB-U-LOUS old covered bridge Jim. Love the colours, compostion and lighting/shadows. We had a covered bridge near our/ parents home in Peninsula OH. Love this posting and I also like the other one as well.
I agree this is a wonderful capture, I like the colours and the claity is good as well. I don't think I have ever seen a covered bridge before. We have many different types of bridges in Australia, but I can't remember seeing one which is totally covered. Thanks for sharing. Lyn.
Both images are excellent. I'm having a difficult time choosing one over the other. Guess I like them both for different reasons ... besides I love covered bridges. Very nicely captured Jim.
Beside they belong to the category 'fruit', apples can't compared with pears. To me it's the same with those posts Jimbob. To me both are beautiful.
Regards, Cornelius.
I like both shots, but this is a better angle as suggested by Rich. Then again, the timing was different too, but the quality here is better and so are the colors. This is a really fine shot, Jim. The fence adds such a nice element to the whole thing.
Great angle and shot Jim. I like that camera also....just have to stick with my ole fuji right now. Beautifully done and great colors and composition. Don't hurt yourself next time though...lol
It's better quality JimBob I agree. I remember that first one, and being surprised that these bridges exist. Nice use of the fence here to lead into the shot, and the fact that the bridge is shrouded by the trees adds a sense of mystery.
Dream-like quality! Excellent Jim! Have you watched "Spirited Away" (Japanese animation, distributed by Disney in North America)? I recommend it....watch it and you'll see why this image is so dream-like!
