---I could use a couple a these barrels around my place---
Good idea, Jimbob, but I think it's wise to ask permission in advance before you take them away, and if you'll get this permission, think it's wise too to check whether the flowers in the barrels are plastic ones or not, because it seems that they are not susceptible for the heat, lol.
I love the textures in this shot. The second barrel is just screaming, "Touch me. Rub me all over. I have plenty of splinters to share." And what's the problem with pink flamingos? I have a collection that date back decades. They don't require water or food, they appreciate in value with age (or so I'm told), they match my oversized blue, florescent butterflies and multi-colored garden gnomes. Additionally, I'm proud to say that I'm this year's vice-president at the local pink flamingo society where I'm proud to say that we have over 200 color blind or artistically challenged members.
Good looking old weathered wood barrels filled with a nice variety of summer greens and colorful flower mix. Up to number 26 in the Canal Experience series I see and every picture is special and interesting....You are great at sticking with it JB! I can't get past 4 pictures of the same place without throwing something way out in left field.
Where do you get your ideas from Dot?:):) Hey Jimbob, I really like the angle of your shot here.Usually this kind of shot would be a direct shot showing the bench on the left and the barrels on the right but no, you have to go and invoke artistic license and shoot it from the angle we least expect thus providing us with no words of correction!! Wonderful colors and contrast and as usual, your framing works well!!
There is something quite satisfying about this shot, and I think its a combination of the colours, subjects and over all composition. The frame rounding it all off to perfection. Well done! Great work Jim. Ann
Marvellous composition, Jim! Love it! another place I would love to be, trinking cofee with cake and enjoyng an agreeable afternoon between nature! Very nice!
Some people have Gurus, I have my camera. Through the cam lenses I have learnt to deeply perceive life, not only to see, but to look at all expressions of nature, becoming able to read the poetry of the flowers, receiving the embrace of the trees and flying above the clouds without wings! - Susie Sun
Jimbob - There is something to be said for the pink flamingo decor. I'm not sure what, but something! lol I like the lines in this comp - well done! Thad
I like the way this one is composed Jim and I bet they would look great in your yard. I allways wanted one on my front porch to put a checker board on.

Another fine post in a wonderful series, mate.
