Nice duck, beautiful and colorful feathers. I am safe, I don't eat meat. I don't mind having vegetableloaf. Anyway, happy Thanksgiving, American friends!!!
Although Thanksgiving Day like you have tomorrow in the USA is un unknown phenomenon in my country, I like to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving, Jimbob. Hope that the recently by Sherree (Danika) depicted turkey will survive. A good alternative is to consume duck meat, lol. Enjoy your meal, my friend.
I went to a friend's for Thanksgiving one year and we were served a Turduckin! It was all de-boned but was a chicken inside a duck inside a turkey! Your cute lil' duck seems to be pouting and very concerned about the upcoming event! Happy Thanksgiving!
Superb image Jim! The details and colors of his feathers were captured wonderfully. Mallards may be common, but their colors are so lovely. I love that striking purple along with the black and white! :) Amanda
Lovely capture of this little chap. I like too the detail you have caught in the bark on the log he is standing on. Well done! Happy Thanks Giving to all my friends on the other side of the pond! Ann
I prefer turkey ... tried duck once & never again. This Mallard looks at peace ... no worries about Thanksgiving dinner. Beautiful capture, Jim ... the detail is wonderful.
I've eaten rotisserie Duck...Yummy!!!! This one is too pretty to eat. Looks better right where he is. Besides, our Turkey is in the oven...LOL. Another great shot, Jim. Happy Thanksgiving! This year I've added my Caedes friends to my list of thanks.
Wonderful capture of this mallard. It looks like it is trying to be a male mallard, but it isn't quite there yet. They must molt brown feathers for green ones. I like the light shining on him with his blue feathers showing too. No, I didn't eat duck and I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving, Jim.
Some people have Gurus, I have my camera. Through the cam lenses I have learnt to deeply perceive life, not only to see, but to look at all expressions of nature, becoming able to read the poetry of the flowers, receiving the embrace of the trees and flying above the clouds without wings! - Susie Sun
Then vegetable meat loaf eh!...lol
Got some cool colours on this mallard mate
