Well shot, Jim. You had to get low for this one or you are shorter than I thought. lol I think that is a real bird entering the scene too. Always a nice addition to a shot of the sea and sky. Pretty little lighthouse. Good to be able to comment again.
I can't question the overall composition which is perfectly balanced. However, I can question the individual components.
Is that a sea gull? Is that sand? Is that a boat out there?
Nice shot although I think I see horizontal striations in the sky. Could be clouds or mist. How the heck would I know. I'm not even sure if that's a sea gull.
Well composed JimboB. I can see you gave this some thought. How long did you have to wait for the gull to get in the proper spot? You make photography look easy.
Well done. The bird leading into the scene is a nice touch as is the boat captured without a blade of grass cutting through it. The coloring of the grass and sand looks a little unnatural to my eye, but it's a Corningware eye that I've been thinking of returning for a refund anyway.
Peaceful and very inspiring. I've taken the Lewes/Cape May ferry many times while on vacation and the whole area is gorgeous for photos. Thanks for sharing.
Nice shot Jimbo! the close up foreground gives great perspective to the lighthouse behind and the addition of the bird and littl boat add interest. Makes a great desktop
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
Very nice image Jim, even if the foreground is a little bit to important, hiding too much this impressive lighthouse. In the other hand it gives to your image an interesting depth.
This Image GRABBED my EYE. That's Why I Stopped By.

To me this means you have a dirty dusty belly after lying down!...lol
Has that 'peek-a-view' feel to it!..
