Jim, what a splendid image, the composition is perfect, you had a good sky to add even more to this wonderful capture. It looks like a nice place to visit, looks like they make use of something old,or they made it look that way. Tigs♥ =^..^=
You're good, Jimbob! What else can I say? I think you've mastered your software and your camera, but I'll admit that I still enjoy seeing parts of the country that I normally don't get to see.
I disagree with Tigs only slightly about the composition. Keep in mind that I'm still two credits short of having my masters in composition; so I'm no expert. My personal preference would have been to take a step back and have more foreground at the bottom especially some of the buildings on the left. Obviously eventually you would have run out of room, but a smidgeon more would have been nice. If you were backed into a corner, you made the right choice because the lighthouse and surrounding sky are primo. You left just enough room at the top so that the top of the lighthouse isn't crowded. A solid 8.8 out of 10.
Nice shot Jim. I like the angle you chose for the composition. The sun must have been somewhere behind you somewhat because you got some clear detail of building and sky.
Just the sort of place I'd love to have breakfast... The colors within the buildings and foreground are warm and inviting, especially against the sky that looks like there might be some weather coming in. mary
