This is Mouse Island, just off the Northern tip of Catawba Point, North Coast Ohio. This was taken today, and you can see the ice on Lake Erie is melting fast. It was only two weeks ago that I was walking on the lake.

Nice but cold looking image, I think I see ice fishing track marks still on the ice. tigs=^..^=

This looks even colder than full icy condition Jimbob. Soon ships will be plying about and the lakes will be open to the Atlantic. Nice capture!

JB..this is a very similar image and viewpoint to one I have...only mine is all water and not ice!...same kind of island too...

I see that fast thaw which is what have experienced as well. Don't know that I've seen the melt quite as fast as this year. another fine capture and by Friday it really will be spring.

In full it looks like there are Snowmobile tracks heading out towards the island plus birds swimming in the open water. Loving this series and the different colours of blue are gorgeous - downloaded
