This was taken from Breakneck Ridge in upstate N.Y. Looking North up the Hudson River. The mountain on the opposite shore is Storm King Mountain. I took a spill shortly after taking this shot going back down this steep, icy mountain. Where's a sherpa when you need one?

helluva vista mate!...subtle colourations work well too....

Pity you hadn't a photo of you taking a 'ride' then?..

I know the feeling of 'spills' too!.....buggers hurt?..don't they!

This is an absolutely gorgeous view! The composition is just great... I love the branches in the front.

Now that's a humdinger. Great shot. I like the branches in the foreground. You got great colors to this too. I am sorry to hear you fell on your pride on the way down. Hope you didn't damage the camera. LOL.

Beautiful panoramic view Jim - I have a feeling it is sloping very slightly, but that might be my eye! ...and the way I am looking at it! ....and sorry you took a tumble - I expect you did what I did when that happened - held your camera in the air so not to break it and hurt yourself in the process! lol! ;)

I'm glad you didn't break anything. That mountain looks like a sleeping giant. I love the view. The Hudson is a really wonderful river.

Another one goes down for the sake of sharing beauty! It's happened to me, too. It was worth it for this lovely view of the mountain. I like the curves complimenting each other.
