He's really beautiful, Jim. So nice and shiny. He looks like he might be quite large too. Great shot of this wonderful turtle.

Love the turtle, he's got great colour and sure doesn't want to been seen by so many lol. Your title sure suits the capture. Oh yes they sure can hiss, my turtle when she didn't want to be bothered she would hiss at me. You can tell the sex of a turtle by the colour of the eyes, what colour were they?

Their heads remind me so much of snakes that it doesn't surprise me that they hiss. This guy should have been giving you a tip for this great portrait !! You made him look well polished :)
