People have been asking me what that is above me. Most people assume it's fireworks. I'm actually lying down. That's wet tarmac in one hell of a rainstorm.
"I decided that it was not wisdom that enabled [poets] to write their poetry, but a kind of instinct or inspiration, such as you find in seers and prophets who deliver all their sublime messages without knowing in the least what they mean."
--Socrates (in "Apology")
The lighting and shadows on you are very well done.A good study in black and white. I'm not too sure about the rest of the photo - it is a bit hard to grasp.

Many people have said similar things to me about this one. About there being too much black, as well as it being a strange photo to look at. Personally I like looking a little out of place in all the black. Lost perhaps. Especially since many people relate to falling in a dream.
Well I understand the lost feeling you're trying to create. And in that perspective I understand the amount of black. But maybe the piece of wet tarmac is a bit to abstract to create the dreamy feeling.
It's a very interesting image and would love to see some more of your creativity!
My opinion is how it bends the mind to make it think theres something behind the black void in the middle. All in all the piece to me is very interesting.
