What a great photo Alexandra. He really does look like he's resting...or getting ready to take off ;) Lovely colors and composition with terrific lighting. Well done and thanks for the post. TYU=thank you unnecessary ;)

The colors on this little guy are so well defined and well captured, I might add...I'm glad you were able to get so close. And the leaf, even with its imperfections, is so well represented here in this close treatment. Excellent... :)PJ

Alexandra, This is a gorgeous capture, and I Iike the leaf as a background, no distractions, just great continuity. The colors are complimentary, the entire image is very sharp, and I think you did an excellent job of composing your subject. Incidently, my doctor here in the states is from the Ukraine, and he has become one of my favorite people............Neil

A beautiful (and very cooperative) butterfly, Alexandra -- and your photo certainly shows off its details. However, there is so much light reflecting off the leaves that the overall image is quite bright. Try reducing the gamma somewhat, and maybe the contrast as well. Also, try reducing the blue just a little, to bring out more of the green in the leaves. These are just some minor adjustments to what is a very pleasing picture. Well done!
