I'm always impressed by original images on this site and Chaotic really qualitfies. While the composition itself has a simplicity to it, there are many other elements that hold the eye. The texures in that shield shape are captivating. The lines that intersect at the middle help to draw the eye in and add a certain depth to the piece which is odd because those kind of lines usually flatten images out. Finally, the multiple colors on the perimeter of the work are intriguing which is how I'd characterize it overall - intriguing.

I'd never guess the beauty of this from the preview, but it did look interesting - and it is that, too. The contrast between the strong, rich, warmer colours around the edges and the delicate, icy pastels in the centre is echoed in the contrast between the bold, sweeping lines on the outside and the intricately detailed patterns on the inside. Lovely work.
