Yep, we just got back from camping there. Awesome weather. Black and white was just what this area needed to capture a building from 1886.
B&W normally isn't my preference, but this image with those parallel beams leading the eye to the mill is impressive. The clarity is sensational. How vivid those windows become in the larger views. Nice work
A very nice shot of one of my favorite places. A photo I took from this angle was in the 2005 Caedes calendar for November. Nice use of B&W. Bravo.

Anything that excites me for any reason, I will photograph; not searching for unusual subject matter, but making the commonplace unusual.

I checked out your Cades Cove shots. Very nice. I could have taken pics all day, but I was annoying my wife with all my stopping. hehe. We were down near the Cherokee area camping. I have to do that in the fall sometime.
Been there many times and seen (and taken) a few photos, but this is a stand out in B/W. It really gets the feeling of the place across with the building in the clearing with the pool of light and the sluice running back into the cool shade of the forrest. Well taken
