Black and white was a good choice here. It emphasized the lines of the hair, the dark of the eyes, the shadowing of the face, as well as the stripes on the cuff without the distractions of tonal imperfections that come with color. Of course the red apple - well what can I say? It's a good contrast and carries the obvious sexual overtones.
I like the attention to detail, aka, the retention of red in the light reflected on the underside of the fingers holding the apple. Nice concept and very well executed.
Anything that excites me for any reason, I will photograph; not searching for unusual subject matter, but making the commonplace unusual.

Hey Kine,
That's not fare,...
Self portraits always turn out so much more beautiful when you are gorgeous looking, (~8
Going to hide behind my camera now, 8~)
Back to the shot,
I enjoy the B&W&R(ed) a lot,
The combination is terrific,
I love your pose, the expression, it all works so much together so much,
Truly professionally done,
Very nicely done. You may want to retouch the black background a bit, it shows quite a few remnants of your Photoshop work. All in all, a striking portrait.
Guten tag!! Ich bin auch von Deutschland. But I came to America when I was then, long long ago:) I enjoy your photography. I see in your gallery many photos of yourself, how do you take your own picture? A timer and a digital camera? I like the b&w idea and the apple sets it off perfectly of course. It's something nice and different. I would love to see you do more of that, but instead of using the technique with a person, try it with some other object, challenge yourself to search something out. I look forward to your next photo..Verena
Nice to meet you!
