Oberlarg Cave located in South Alsace, also called "Grotte Du Mannlefelsen". Can be translate in "Cave of the little man rock" Inhabited from 10 000 years B.C to 1900 A.C.
What a cool capture! Its probably just me but that white cave looks almost like a face with a wide gaping mouth. I love this. Did you go inside? I would really like to explore.
Fun! I was also wondering if you went inside - what a cool adventure that would be! As usual, I have no constructive criticism to offer - I just wanted to say good job & thanks for sharing!
I'm just wondering why they stopped living there in 1900? Seems like a waste of a perfectly good hidey hole..maybe they couldn't string electricity to it? Great shot and except for the overexposure on the left-hand side you've done a nice job with all those varying degrees of shadow.
"I never looked for it, gave it no name; yet I knew it always, when the gift of peace came. I stood quite still for the moment that it lasted...Then the light shifted slightly and the moment passed, leaving me...with the lasting echo of its presence.." Diana Gabaldon
Thanks for the comments.
The cave is a private property and isn't accessible.
It is forbidden to access, but of course there is nobody.
You can jump over a fence or over a ditch. I didn't.
The last person who lived in the cave was a shepherdess.
