Cornwall’s now-defunct tin industry has left these landmarks as testimony to the county’s past. Made from locally quarried stone and slate, they housed the powerful beam engines used for pumping water from the mine.
That sky is stunning, the colours are beautiful. I love the way the old buildings look against it. Going straight into my faves. You have one heck of an eye for stunning captures Mick.
The silhouettes of the empty places of work once so busy and now dead are eerie and send off waves of emotion when seen against that gorgeous and alive-with-color sky. This was so well taken...great job :)PJ
I like the way you capture silhouettes illuminated ever so subtly ... your use of filters is very effective ... but the sky takes center stage in this image. The cloud formations are striking ... looks like the aftermath of a aerobatic air show performance.
Your visits in my galerie are always welcome. Today I've posted "Saints" - my first try with the zoom of my new camera (Remember, had only a mobile phone before)
