This scene was captured during the last days of summer in Aberdeenshire Scotland...My sister lives in the area and I visit her every year...I do hope you enjoy the beauty of the scene.
Just great Mick. Those colors are stunning and the light and shadows are perfect. You even have a great sky to compliment everything. I love the sprinkling of sheep throughout the countryside. I also love those stone walls. Each stone has a story. Great.
And the bales of hay in the background too which I just noticed as I was formulating how to tell you how much this impressed me. It's like a painting and a lovely one at that.
"I never looked for it, gave it no name; yet I knew it always, when the gift of peace came. I stood quite still for the moment that it lasted...Then the light shifted slightly and the moment passed, leaving me...with the lasting echo of its presence.." Diana Gabaldon
Would find it hard not to enjoy it Mick! The composition of this rich and varied landscape is beautiful, and the colours are so vivid. I love that overcast sky too and the sheep. A beauty as usual. :)
*You will have noticed that I haven't been commenting as much on your fine images!..This is because of the pains in my hands!..the constant use of the keyboard, makes this difficult..so, my dear friends..I can only apologise to you all in advance!*

Great picture Mick. I liked the colours and the composition. I miss such lovely countryside in my country. Don't like those treathening clouds though.Prefer the deep blue sky I am used to.
Gorgeous landscape Mick. I envy your sister for where she resides and I envy you for your talent with the lens. Now that I've admitted to such sin I will leave and repent.
Ideas, unlike solid structures, do not perish. They remain immortal, immaterial and everywhere, like all Divine things. Ideas are a golden, savage landscape that we wander unaware, without a map. Be careful: in the last analysis, reality may be exactly what we think it is.
