During this UK cold spell it is so important that we provide all birds with supplementary food…. It brings them closer for us to marvel at their fascinating behaviour,wonderful colours and get them through the winter…… It will also reward them for sharing their lives with us…..Please enjoy.

Beautiful color on the bird but there is a lot of yellow on the Bluetit. It reminds me of our songbirds. Especially the Goldfinch. This post is stunning with its colors Mick. A true beauty.

Mick,you made a mistake,it is not a Blue Tit,it is a Great Tit,the Great Tit has a black and white head whereas the Blue Tit has a blue and white head,the bird in your photo has the markings of a Great Tit and it has a black and white head too,it is a Great Tit,i am sure of that.
The photo of the bird is really nice,the lighting,colors and blue sky are very nice,it is really cute.We also give food to birds,there is still snow here and perhaps it will snow again.Happy New Year to you.

Agree with you about providing the birds with supplementary food, as those severe wint'ry conditions make it nearly impossible to them to find their own food. Imagine that we would have no food for more than a week!
