When I came across this Traction Engine it was like taking a step back in time….It was certainly a chance to get close to this wonderful machine burning coal, belching steam and oozing oil and grease from every bearing and cog as she trundled up a 1 and 6 hill……Credit must be given to the owners for restoring these magnificent machines to their former glory so that we the public can enjoy their beauty…Please enjoy.

It looks like a small train on wheels Mick and you captured it so beautifully. The colors are so bright.

I like those "run flat" tires too!! lol. Mick, what an interesting shot. Are there other machines they have restored and if so, will they also be posted?

I love seeing traction engines working. Especially ones as lovingly maintained as this.

You never cease to amaze me. What a great shot you got here. I am going to Prairie Village this weekend, they will have over 200 steam engines and tractors. This picture really got me in the mood for these magnificent antiques. Your capture in outstanding Mick,

I hear there's a lot of divorce among Traction engine restorers Mick, they neglect their other half too much ! This is a wonderful shot my friend of a fine old Lady.

They have an Old Threshers Reunion in Mount Pleasant, Iowa every year. You can check it out here if you like. I have always enjoyed watching them. A great shot of a great restoration Mick.

These are really beautiful machines. The look sound and smell great too. Someone has obviously put a lot of love into restoring this one.

Here in North Wales we have a huge steam fair called the Victorian Extravaganza which is filled with traction engines of all kinds. I never ever get there with my camera as I am always working, so thank you for doing what I never can.
