At the end of the day,dark clouds brought the rain then the evening sun appeared and offered me an opportunity to take some photographs…. I wasn’t the only one who stopped to take notice of this rainbow that formed over the arched railway bridge.....The rainbow lingered over the bridge for at least two to three minutes giving me plenty of time to take several photographs before gradually dissipating…..Please enjoy.

O, beautiful rainbow; - all woven of light!
There's not in thy tissue, one shadow of night;
Heaven surely is open when thou dost appear,
And, bending above thee, the angels draw near,
And sing, - "The rainbow! the rainbow!
The smile of God is here."
~Sarah Josepha Hale

What good fortune for you to have been in the right place at the right time and with a camera too! I would have felt blessed to have seen such a sight in person. Quite the treat to see the photo. Very well done.

I had a few rainbow pictures in my portfolio, but I threw them out after seeing this shot. Marvelous work, Mick! The rainbow is classic, but it's the sunlight on the bridge and the beautifully-colored landscape that makes this image stand out. Excellent composition, as well. Bravo!
