The Grampian mountains are of outstanding, although harsh, natural beauty and is a favourite destination of mine when I visit Scotland…..I like to venture off the beaten track and walk through heather-clad moorland to discover breathtaking scenery like you see in this photograph…..Please enjoy.

The beaten path is so aptly named Mick. I like you venture off the path and into the valley of great shots. Once again the lighting steals the show.

Striking colors and a gorgeous landscape, Mick! This lovely terrain, bathed in shadows, conveys an interesting mood, as if the land is intentionally shielding its full splendor from the voyeuristic eye of the photographer. I love the purple wildflowers in the foreground and can only imagine what this place looks like in full sunlight. Well done!
