During high tide massive waves pummelled the old pier of the harbour..The normally still waters of the harbour were turned into a maelstrom of surging whitewater with people gathering to watch natures spectacular display of power.....Please enjoy

What amazing force the waves have hitting the old pier so hard sending such large and high spray of white frothy water. The white water goes so well against the deep rich blue sky..Most impressive view Mick....I could have watched something like these for hours

It is very cool to get that kind of energy in the waves with such a glorious sunny day as well, the colours in such shots are usually greys and muteds but this one is so colour rich, it's really something else.

It is not "The powerful attack the weak." it is "The fearful attack what they fear."
I don't know much else to add to all the above except one of the things I think is cool is how the waves seem to not only fly upward, they also seem to almost surround the lighthouse. This is another one of your simply amazing pictures.

Nice action photo here Mick, And the blue sky is outstanding. I was at Lake Superior many years ago and saw similar wave action. Didn't have a camera. Thanks for sharing.
