Kayley - It has a Monet-like tone - there's nothing wrong with that you know! A very nice scene. In the upper right, there is a reflection of a footbridge and several people approaching it. If you have post-photo editing software, a bit more contrast and vibrancy would be a nice addition. Thad
Monet! Oh yes. He is my favorite artist and you've captured the same feeling her in your Lily pond as he does in his paintings. It would be lovely to see the bridge in a much more sharp way.
Would enjoy seeing a few more of your photos of this. Verena
Q: Why did the blonde get so excited after she finished her jigsaw puzzle in only 6 months?
A: Because on the box it said From 2-4 years.
Q: How do you confuse a blonde?
A: Ask her to alphabetize a bag of M&Ms.
Q: Why are dumb blonde jokes so short?
A: So brunettes can remember them.
Nothing like a lily padded pond for capturing a feeling of beautiful serenity. The only minor change I'd suggest would be cloning out the reflected people in the upper right corner.
It is a lovely image, but the composition is off a bit. The brightest area, which attracts the eye is in the upper left corner and "spills" off the edge of the picture. The edges of the lilypads form lines leading the eye to the bright spot and off the picture. A better composition would have the bright spot 1/3 in from each edge. This would then become the main focus of your picture and from there the eye can wander to other details. Notice that one lily flower is in a patch of sunlight in the bottom left corner. This would have made a better focal point for the picture. While the reflection of the bridge and people are nice, it is too distracting from the rest of the picture and would better cropped off.
