We came across this barn in Mayfield, KY. It appears the Rooster has lost his " ER".

I think the Old Red Rooster has something in common with The Old Gray Mare, Jen-nay. He's probably a legend among some of the old hens.

I like the original comment of Tick above. Famous legends normally get a statue or something like that when they have passed away. This rooster probably got its painting. Hope however that he's still alive, lol.
