There are many things that I find beautiful in the state of Louisiana . One thing that struck me immediately is how beautiful the trees are and these are no different. These beauties stand on The Nottoway Plantation .

Wow! That's a Lot of Green! I always Admired how the Trees flourish in the South... we don't really get that kind of Sideways growth up here! Nice capture, Marsha!

They sure are graceful. Looks like a vine is growing on the limbs. A lovely frame full of luscious green.

Those trees grow low and wide with the horizontal limbs eventually touching the ground for added stability in high winds. cool shot of the live oaks!

Beautiful shot Marsha, it looks like a tree-climbers dream come true. I like the white fence in the background too.

I love the Oaks as well Jen-Nay. They are a sight to behold. Too bad the background is a little overexposed. It detracts from the trees just a bit. The greens are luscious.
Good find.

We have The Oaks here too!...

Oaks take such a long time to grow, but only a short time to chop them down!, because they are in demand so much for quality furniture!

I do like the angle you snapped this one at

I have to agree with Ron, Marsha. That fence and lawn/pasture are an integral part of the image and add much to the scene. The overexposure creates a distraction.
Locking your exposure on that area by centering your reading in the bottom center of the image, and then raising the lens to recompose the full image and complete the exposure would make the trees a bit darker, but not likely noticeable.

Bright beautiful green - The oak trees look very nice. We have quite a few all around where I live. Some are over 400 years old!

That one limb stretching out really caught my eye. If I were a kid, I'd be climbing around on it! Cool shot, Marsha.

Aren't they massive and lovely though? Bet the vines turn red in the Fall. This is a most beautiful capture.
