As most of you know I love old Barns. Can't seem to walk away from any of them without trying to capture their beauty. This is a tobacco barn in KY. Most of these old barns are actually log cabins . Later on to protect the wood from the elements they were covered with tin. A KY wildlife officer told us many of these barns are being broken in to and robbed of their beautiful chestnut wood. No, we weren't arrested he stopped to see what we were doing and let us go about our business. We must appear to be honest.

I gotta say, this barn looks very proud to be still standing. Really cool. :)

I love old barns too, Jen-Nay. The pattern is as interesting as the textures.

You guys sure got some interesting shots out of this old corrugated barn. Altogether, it's a pretty neat looking place in nice tones of rust.

Looks to be in quite good shape except for the rust/paint. Not leaning at all. There are striations throughout the siding that don't show that well in colour, and you might like it in B&W as well.

I don't know if I have ever seen a barn like this before. Not a bad idea putting the tin on the outside. The rust color is great, so you don't have to paint! Excellent shot, Marsha.

Awesome photo, must be super dark in there, but I suppose that is what tabacco needs, as most of the barns are dark or black that house tabacco from what I've seen. Like the arrangement of the metal sheets.
