Marsha, good lighting, and a simple subject make for a terrific post. I like the placement of the pillow as well. I think this is a well taken shot. Tigs♥ =^..^=
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
Beautiful lighting and tonal range, Marsha. That dark bar across the top of the shades is quite a distraction. You can't look at the chair for more than seconds before it pulls your eyes away.Cropping to just below that horizontal dark bar and then cloning out the small vertical piece gives it a calm mastery of the overall scene. I don't think you can just crop out the dark area as it would reduce the shades space and adversely affect the great balance to the overall scene.
The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB
