When I was a little girl every deer I saw of course were reindeer. I never saw one with a red nose ....so I've never actually seen Rudolph , not yet anyway . When I would question why they weren't at The North Pole my Father always replied that they were on vacation . He assured me not to worry they would be back to work in plenty of time for Christmas . So when Dan and I had the great pleasure of coming across this beauty ... I smiled as I remembered my Father words . The image is not without some issues but in honor of my Father and Reindeer everywhere , I decided to share it with you as well as a wonderful childhood memory of mine.

I have no issues with it Marsha - I love how the antlers stand out against the background.

Marsha ... I used to call every deer I saw reindeer as well when I was a young girl. Sometimes I still catch myself calling them reindeer. A wonderful capture of your childhood memory & dedication to your father & reindeers. I love the pose & those antlers are quite impressive. Very well done.

I think this guy knows all about that . Why else would he be hiding his nose. Besides, it's July and he's on vacation.
A lovely, well composed shot of Rudolph, Marsha.

He is hiding his red nose because he doesn't want to get caught so far away from North Pole. I hears that Santa may decide to shift to South Pole because the ice is melting so fast up north. Good shot of this fine stag Marsha.

It seems to be looking right back at you wondering what you are pointing at it. Could it be Rudolph?

Nothing wrong with this one Marsha, I loved the narrative as much as I did the capture, I think this is really a special capture.

Can see the velvet on the antlers. I know it has a name, but it is not coming to me. Love the pose, Marsha. Don't think I've been this close to a deer except at the zoo and I know they are profuse in number in the sanctuary behind me. Guess I make too much noise in the woods.

Marsha - I can't decide if I like the narrative or the photo better - okay - a tie - they are both good! Thad

If I could tell the story in words, I wouldn't need to lug around a camera. ~Lewis Hine The Earth without art is just 'eh'.
