I was fortunate to see three Herons on my bike along the waterfront, I managed to capture this one hunting for food.

Nice shot! Good close-up and excellent detail in the feathers. The pale blue color of the water also works very well in the background.

That must be an excellent telephoto lens you've got there. Either that or you've been doping the local bird population. This is a wonderful shot of the heron. I can't seem to get near enough. Can I borrow your lens?

Think about the photo before and after, never during. The secret is to take your time. You mustn't go too fast. The subject must forget about you. Then, however, you must be very quick.
