I shot that photo at a family meeting in 2006. We are over 100 on my mum's family side and we can't meet as often as we want. This Christmas period is one of the few quality moments we can share with our entire family. I wish, for all of you, your Christmas tree will offer you more presents and happiness than this apple tree gave apples.

Lovely Bruno - perfect light and very good composition. It's nice to see this at Christmas - a reminder that it used to be all about the 'store cupboard' before food could be flown from all over the world.

I have often wondered how a person can take a good photo of apples near a tree, and now I see. The texture of the tree and the apples and the grass is just perfect. What a great idea. Thank you so much. Verena
