Oh I like the softness of this photo! The white background is unique and gentle too. Enhancing the whole photo. I need to get out and take some photos I think. Haven't felt too much into the flowers, and then I went to Portland today, and wow. The blooms on the Japanese Maples are awesome. Need to do that! This is a very beautiful photo. Verena

Very soft and pure - nice shot

I know what you were trying to do, I just don't think you got all the way there.

Firstly I think that the angle that you have the flowers at doesn't show them of well. That crook between the stem and the flower almost makes it look like the photo was flipped upside down, but because of how the flower under that one was cropped in or out of the shot, it looks wrong.

Also the backdrop. I don't know how to change it, but I don't think that kind of white background works very well. Maybe it's the flower in the back shouldn't be there. There is this shine and it seems to have this harsh whitening out going on from the white background or the light or both.

The flower did come out very clearly. The texture of the petals are interesting.

Forgive me for not commenting lately. I went off on a 4 day trip and now I am sick and not feeling much like sitting at a computer. Just wanted you to know I viewed your pretty picture.
