I like the B&W thing going on here but I'm not sure what the focal point is supposed to be. Not being a photographer I will leave that alone and speak on the shot as a whole. I belive I understand that the slower shudder will make it appear not as real being the longer exposier? Like making it bluury? Ifthat is the case then I belive you made a wise deciesion. the shoit as a whole looks good...lol..the reality aspect is somewhat blown out od the water with the B&W image in my untrainded opinion but I would defenitl;y use this as a desktop and I really believe that this would do as well blown up and framed. I may not know a lot about photo taking but I know what I think looks good. THis looks good :-)
I agree with that pretty much. I do love the natural look of the water..not the slow shutter speeds...and I like black and white..but I do think the b and w takes away from the true colours of nature in this shot alsoI would think the focal point is the back waterfalls...my eye seems to go to that.. On the other hand, Ansel Adams, the greatest black and white photographer, shot many scenes, but of course most of his were SNOW...But as far as the water, yes, you are right...this is great!
I think this is absolutely beautiful, it captures in my opinion like a beautiful raw essense of nature... like a secret snapshot of a river that had never been touched before by mankind...
good stuff!
