I like this image, but its just a bit too whitened out on the top and right sides. I have such a problem with tht also...in my photos..there are ways to change that...I just gotta learn how and try it...but basically this is a good photo.

Shooting into the sun is very tricky and getting the exposure right can be even harder. You've made a very good attempt here and I think there are two things that I could recommend, in this situation: move slightly to the left and let the old tree completely hide the sun, or crop your image by removing some of the sky and the part to the right side - up to the middle of the tree trunk. Give it a try and see how you like it.

In any form of art the human eye wants to go directly to the brightest part of the image. When that happens here it "Steals the Thunder" from the rest of a very lovely landscape.

I do like the backlit technique (and I use it fairly often) as it gives most of the objects that are up close a nice halo effect.

As to the rest of the image: It is very handsome image that one can be proud to have in their image pool.

A Photograph is more than a still image of the real, it is a doorway into the unreal, it allows you to see through the eyes of the photographer, and see how they see the life around them.

Yes I ihave to agree with Photoimagery that shooting into the sun is very hard to do. this picture turned out well however i would advise staying away from shooting into the sun unless it is a main part in the picture just because of it being distracting
