I can see why you chose this as a subject. Nice interesting details and shapes. I don't think the exposure does the subject right though. It seems like you used a flash with all the drawbacks that come with that. (But what else can one do in certain situations?) The image comes out a bit flat and the colors doesn't get as rich as they could though. If you can, try to make similar shots with natural lighting, perhaps using a tripod or some other means to keep the camera steady for a longer exposure. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to sound too critical but I can see if it's perceive. That is not my intention like I said. I had this as a comment request and have looked at the image several times before commenting. This is the best I could do atm. Please bare with me. ;)

Not taking into account equipment/time constraints, I tend to agree with kjh000. A tripod would allow you to slow down the exposure and avoid the flash, which would bring that icicle in the foreground into focus. Unfortunately this is not always an option. I took a look at some of the other pictures in your gallery and especially liked "Life" and "Close Distance." Keep up the good work.
