This is my favourite rose in my garden. I captured this shot as the light was fading on a dull day and I think it is better then several others taken in bright sunshine. I hope you like it :)

Absolutely. Overcast, and bright overcast, are always the best light for delicate shades and portraits. You get all the detail you would nomally lose in the lighter areas, on a sunny, contrasty say.
Beautiful shot.

I wish I had roses in this color. I bet it is very fragrant. I like how the background foes not distract from the flower so the focus in right on the bloom. Detailed and well done.

Hard to think of anything original to say about this image. The flower is stunning. The unusual blend of colors is as pretty as any I have ever seen and your photograph is beautifully sharp and detailed to show every nuance of texture and shape. Definitely in my favorites.

What a capture this is Lyn! The apricot color is absolutely delicious and it is topped off with the outer petals tingesd in a beautiful pink! I don't think it gets much better than this. I agree that an overcast day will give us a better picture most of the times. The delicacy and the texture you captured in the flower's petals are amazing I can see everything! The way you so gently framed it adds such class to the entire image. Well done my friend and right into my favorite's folder on my hard drive so I can run it in my screensaver slideshow!
Thanks also for the visit to ~soft pink~. That rose shot was taken in the early evening sun which adds a bit of gold to the entire image. It sure caught my eye from the car. I got out hurriedly and got a shot off before the sun went away completely. I am glad that you too were able to enjoy it's beauty with me. Your support, comments and critique are deeply appreciated. Thank you :~)
