I'm so happy you got this perfectly presented picture of begonias. I've had these plants on my back deck all summer and they were drop dead gorgeous, but they were red and try as I might, they refused to be photographed. The colors here are what help to make this so pleasing. This gentle rosy hue encapsulates the delicate beauty of the petals, and shows how each one is so distinct from the other, yet they all work to give us a taste of heaven. I love begonias..can you tell? But I've never seen this particular color.. I'll have to be on the lookout for them next season. Your composition goes a long way in the lovely presentation. That you've chosen to place two of them as the subject matter with the fanciful froth of a green "vine" over on the right for contrast to the flowers, but also in contrast to the leaves of the begonia, as they tend to be a fairly heavy and ponderous attachment to such a richly presented blossom was a stroke of artistry that only adds more lusture. I almost think that their leaves sometimes hides the flowers' faces, and I often find myself snipping them back a little, better to enjoy the actual flower. Clarity is exceptional here, and it's going in my favorites, and I wish I could frame this one.. Excellent, excellent job. thanks...:)PJ
Most beautiful shade of pink - nothing garish about this display! And such a wonderful clarity of the shot - Nicely framed too, Thank you, Lyn!
