Well, here is yet another flower I have never heard of with any of it's names. Mercy, would ya look at the tri level petals on this thing-yellow blooms, backed up by red blooms and graced by the long spindly blooms. Clever of God, wasn't it? Beautiful capture.

A masterpiece of your own this day! I never knew these were called 'Granny's Bonnet'! That is quite fitting a name though. I love the way you have showcased the blossom with the darkened border.
I would rather live my life as if there is a God and die to find out there isn't, than live my life as if there isn't and die to find out there is.

Well, that name is a new one on me, and if I bend my mind correctly, I guess I can understand why. The colors are delightful here, and I also like the darkness surrounding the bright blossom. The clarity gives us a great view of the stamen portion of the flower and very very gradually blends out to the further reaches so that all appears to be very clearly seen..nice job on a flower whose hues might present a lesser photographer some difficulty in capturing :)PJ
