This sculpture in a friend's garden is crafted from our locally quarried limestone, widely used for building purposes and very popular for carving. Perhaps she is contemplating a few New Years Resolutions :)
I think maybe she is crying too - lovely statue though. I have one on my fireplace which was made by a local student - I posted it earlier - see here . ...besides the statue what I love here is the flowers - how I long for Spring again, my favourite season! lovely photograph Lyn!

What a beautiful place, and just a lovely composition Eve. I think she might be daydreaming about her love, and the fragrance of the flowers adds to the atmosphere. In these surroundings could you think of anything else? May you have a pleasant day Eve. Dwight.
Always remember - Follow the Yellow Brick Road, it will lead you to the Emerald City and OZ A very nice place to repose. Trust me on this one, I live there ............The Lion...................... MY GALLERY - The Magical Mystery Tour
My guess is she is a little embarrassed sitting among all those pretty flowers ... without a stitch on ... and knowing a wonderful photographer will be posting her picture for all the world to see. She needn't have been concerned because you've done a beautiful job of presenting her as you have. HAPPY NEW YEAR EVE!
I would rather live my life as if there is a God and die to find out there isn't, than live my life as if there isn't and die to find out there is.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

What a beautiful capture Eve. I also got the impression of crying, I love her lines and the contrast between her and the flowers around her. What a thought provoking picture. This is going into my faves. x
