My original SHADOWS did not have a good experience in the VB and this is my attempt at improvement.Your opinions and any suggestions are welcome :) Was it worth eyestrain, headache and two hours of housework aversion ? :) :)

Wow, they look like they are dressed in evening wear now! I liked them the other way, but with the dark frame, they really do pop out. You really did an awesome job on the framing and that is much more fun than housework any day!

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

What a diference a background color makes! Yes, Eve, your results from long hours are definitely worth it. I especially like the added dimension on the inner frame. Overall a very beautiful image.

Although the first one was quite good this one is definitely better. The black brings out the flower much more sharply.

I've looked at "Shadows" ... liked it. But it's amazing what a change in the frame can make to an image. I think your 2 hours were very well spent. To me the style and color of this framing is far more complimentary to the image. Very attractive. Having the top bud outside the inner frame is a big plus also in my view. Think the VB will kinder to this one Eve. (Aside from the headache ... isn't just about anything better than housework.)

Just an old "Grampa" who still has a Kodak "Box" camera kicking around the attic ... learning and enjoying the wonders of modern digital photography.

A real beauty here and some great lighting. Love the colors and composition. Frame didn't appeal to me until I downloaded it and saw full size.

How lovely this is. I just love the deep yellow color on the black background. The yellow frame really makes this stand out. Great Job!

This work is much more classy in feel and presentation!!

Well, I went back and looked at the original, and I must say that even though this sounds wishy-washy, I like them both and both for very different reasons. I hope this one does better on the voting booth, for your sake. I know how hard it can be sometimes to think of new ways to present something that you really like and want to be seen in the light most favorable. You did a great job of creating something with a totally different look :)

♥PJ♥

(EDIT) I just went back to look at the score on the other one, and I'd like to tell you publicly that I think that score is a disgrace and a terrible reflection on the taste of the voters.

Ok, I liked the other one when I first saw it, but this is even better. Much improved. I think it is worth every hour you put into it. Who wants to do housework anyway?

Super, Eve. I liked the other well enough, but this is better. I like the framing and the way the top bud pops out of the frame adds a special touch. Ordinarily I would pontificate about how you should not be concerned with the c score, but it will be fun to see how much better this one does. Also, anything that allows one to avoid housework is definitely worthwhile!
