I visited a friend this evening who has a beautiful rose garden. She gives them lots of TLC plus she also has donkeys and horses to provide the necessary :) . . This is one of Sam McGredy's roses, renowned NZ rose breeder, originally from Ireland. It is named Oranges & Lemons, not hard to see why . . Taken with Kodak V550 on auto macro - was almost dark and raining as you see - AF activated. . . any comments welcome and appreciated, as always.

A wonderfully atmospheric shot - one can almost smell the perfume and sense the heavy moistness of the air. Great work!

I much appreciate all the comments I receive about my images, but please excuse me if I don't always reply. My interest in Caedes is exceeding my time available!

A beautiful rose. One I just purchased for my rosebeds this past Spring. I cannot wait to see her bright and beautiful blooms again this coming Spring. Her bright blooms set against her rich foliage make her a real delight in the gardens.

I knew this was yours my flower queen, it popped out of the screen even as a thumbnail! Just brilliant colours and superb focus, it makes me want to start growing one right now, at 1:30am:)

Those lovely petals so remind me of Autumn leaves; the yellow leaves, edged with orange. Maybe it's my frame of mind since we're in Autumn. Your friend grows wonderful roses. I bet she would have a lot to talk about with Stan. lol Gorgeous shot despite rain and darkness. That probably is what makes the flower more alluring.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

Think Kelcey is right as you are really the Caedes flower Queen, Lyn. Think this image proves it again!

Such clear details and the flower looks so wonderful. The gradual change of color from yellow to red is remarkable.
Have saved this one (in my file).

I like the smell of the rose better than the necessaries. Just a great coloring. It looks like it's almost frosted. You captured it perfectly. Thanks for photo and info Lyn.

Another gorgeous rose. This one had to be taken in low light, I bet. No doubt since it generates such great light all its own it would be very hard to take in the sunlight...besides, it looks great with the raindrops on it. It has what looks like a double center? Maybe I've just stared at it too long!!
