2 of 3. I do not know why the sky turned out this dark blue colour because it really was not like that - more of a greyish black. I am sure there is an explanation, but it will be beyond my comprehension :) . . . .Kodak V550... Thank you for viewing. Comments most welcome and appreciated :)

The camera adjusted for the closeup flash exposure causing the sky and background to be underexposed. That's why is was dark. Use it to your advantage for some awesome images. Nice flower image. Enjoy your warm Spring. A Winter cold front is moving across the US.

Magnolia 2 is also a lovely piece of work. The bud is very artistically displayed. Good job, Lyn.

Whatever the reason for the sky, you made the most of it. Love the dark background. It really makes flower the center of attention. Framing is just great, both in design and color. Excellent post Lyn.

Geez, Lyn, you're killing me.

I haven't recovered from yesterday's attack of Magnolia Envy yet!

The blue is a fantastic complement to the blossom's colors.

Well, I like that you mentioned the sky color because it elicited a response as to the reason from heidlerr and now I will keep that tidbit of information in mind. Thanks Eve, for this lovely post and for raising a good question as well.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes
