Majestic beauty in this awesome scene. Those mountain tops almost look volcanic and the cloud cover would grab anyone's attention in a flat second! Bob's right about you having a new 'sparkle' in your vision. Maybe a vacation puts a new perspective on things. It sure has here.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

My favorite part of this amazing shot is how you can see the white reflection off the bit of water beyond the islands. It gives it an amazing depth. This is a stunning image and beautiful desk top image Verena! ~Mary~

Wow, that is some heavy duty sky there, good thing those clouds aren't full of snow like here. Great capture Lyn.

I had this in VB earlier and gave it the 10 it so richly deserved. I like the stark colors contrasting with that gorgeous sky. Opening in the clouds looks like where we all want to go. Perfect composition. Excellent photo Lyn

A beautiful but strangely disturbing view, with that great mass of cloud spilling over the central range. I'm not sure I'd want to be under that little lot when it drops! You've captured some great mirror-white reflections in the water too.
