This was taken just along the road from where I live. Panasonic DMC-FZ7. Thank you for looking. Comments are always welcomed and appreciated.:):) The 'Goombah' tree ,mentioned by Dunstickin below is a Cabbage tree (Cordyline australis), also known as tï kouka. It is native to New Zealand. ")

i love the framing as well as the rolling green landscape. the tree is interesting but it makes me want to look past it. hmmmmmm............make sense?

I really like the framing and the picture is wonderful. What interesting rolling pasture you have there and what lovely colours. also, not a Hobbit in sight (sorry, just been watching the DVD of Lord of The Rings, again!)

Now that's one of the finest pics I've ever seen LynEve!! I luv the thought on the take with the foreground tree, yet, such details off in the distant land!! The framing...not sure, I think I like it more than not so it's cool!! A+

Never heard of a 'goombah' tree before - and what's the connection with cabbage? Hold on, there's a connection between this and the last shot (alpacas) isn't there - it's Sunday lunch NZ style, right? Nice shot LE.
